30 Days of Christmas Cards – Day 3

Here is a nice card to help you use up some of your scraps. Your base is 8.5″ x 5.5″, folded in half or use a pre-made card base.

Ingredients:

  • Red cardstock – cut at 4″ x 5.25″
  • white cardstock – cut at 3.75″ x 5″
  • The candles are cut from 3 different patterned papers
    • 3.25″ x 1.25″
    • 2.5″ x 1.25″
    • 2″ x 1.25″
  • Gold glitter paper cut into 3 flames

Instructions:

  • Attach red cardstock to white card base, centered.
  • attach white cardstock to red cardstock, centered
  • attach 1st candle 1/4″ from edge of white cardstock
  • attach 2nd candle to the right of the first one.
  • attach the 3rd candle over the seam where candle 1 & 2 meet
  • attach flames

To add interest to my card, I ran the candle pieces through my old paper crimper. I also cut some greenery to put at the bottom of the candles and added a red sparkle for a berry.
